Welcome to the Christian Values in Education forum.

A key aim of CViE is to bring Christians involved in education together. This forum is a place where you can network and interact with others. So whether you are a parent, teacher, student, governor or involved in education in some other way, we hope you will find something useful here. But if you don’t—please make it useful—by bringing your views to the discussion.

Being a Christian in today’s educational context can be a challenging and lonely place— you are the ones at the sharp end.  Our hope is that you will choose to share experiences, information, ideas—and above all—help and encourage one another on this forum.

Sadly, at times, internet forums can have a tendency to breed disagreement, and even turn nasty. For this reason, we ask you to agree to a few simple rules when you register to use the forum.  These rules can be viewed at any time in the CViE Forum - Rules & Terms thread. Whilst you are entirely free to post on the forum, it is moderated.  Moderation will hopefully be a very light touch; however, the moderators reserve the right (with appropriate warning) to remove posts, suspend users and even ban members permanently.

More important perhaps than the formal rules is this general principle - always remember that this is a forum with a Christian context, hosted on the website of a Christian charity.

'Let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ.'  (Philippians 1:27)

'Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.'  (1 Corinthians 10:31)

I am a parent of 3 primary school aged boys who attend a C of E school near Tunbridge Wells.

I've broken the ice on this forum and hope to see many parents sharing their views, experiences and concerns here.
