At the recent CViE National Conference – under the overall theme of ‘Foundations’ – we were reminded how the Book of Genesis is constantly being proven consistent with science, and how these core teachings of the Bible speak so clearly into 21st Century culture. Christians can be encouraged to know that the Bible has supplied many of the foundational values that Western society is built on.

While the world (and some church-goers) may wrongly conceive of the Old Testament as “a confusing mix of mythology, ancient Jewish laws, and poetry”, it is actually much more than that, and is indispensable to the New Testament and to a true Christian worldview.
