MONDAY
Pray for God to work out His sovereign purposes in the lives of those involved in education
- Pray for God to give teachers energy, wisdom and patience as they guide pupils into the summer term, often a time of change.
- Pray for school staff who are dealing with behavioural issues daily.
- Pray for God to equip His people involved in education.
- Pray that schools will be influenced by Christian values, and that God will guide headteachers, senior management team members and governors to make decisions that honour Him and benefit pupils.
- Pray for children and young people in your families and churches – that the Lord would keep them safe from evil influences, and bring them to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ while young.
TUESDAY
Pray for Christian families – children, parents, staff, governors – in education
- Pray that families will be supported to communicate with schools about any materials being taught with which they do not agree, and protected when choosing not to allow their children to be taught such material.
- Pray for Christian staff hoping to share their faith with colleagues, especially as the time draws near to recall the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Pray that God will help parents, families and church congregations to have the time and skills to interact with the young people in their care. Thank God for his tenderness and care towards us.
WEDNESDAY
Pray for education leaders in schools, councils and government
- Pray for education leaders and others in positions of influence throughout the world of education – both those that you know personally, and those on the national scene.
- Pray for God’s will to be done as schools engage with the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ consultation and Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.
- Give thanks for school staff and volunteers, including those known to you personally.
- Give thanks for those who uphold Christian values and for those who listen to the concerns of Christian communities.
- Pray for those not involved in state education e.g. Christian schools, home educators.
THURSDAY
Pray for resources and events
- Pray that CViE website and resources will prove a help to Christians in education.
- Pray for chaplains, church leaders and others who will be visiting local schools sharing the Christian faith with both pupils and staff.
- Pray for the CViE National Conference on September 26th – your prayers were wonderfully answered in 2025.
FRIDAY
Pray for an equipping of the Church to stand fast on the Word of God in education
- Pray for Christian Values in Education and its Trustees and staff.
- Pray for His favour on all Christian organisations involved in providing resources for education and young people, such as Lovewise, Christian Institute, Christian Concern, CARE, Family Education Trust.
- Pray that families and local fellowships will be active in promoting materials with a Biblical worldview.
- Pray for the continued financial support of the work of CViE
