CViE FEATURES:  Christian Family Helps

Welcome to the second in our series of “CViE FEATURES” where we profile a Christian organization devoted to educating children and resourcing parents from a Christian worldview.

Christian Family Helps aims to help parents (and others involved in education and childcare) in the great privilege of bringing up children on God’s behalf. 

Experience in teaching which includes 13 years in state schools and 18 years in independent Christian schools has equipped CFH to offer relevant resources through an online catalogue under topic headings such as “The Family: Christian and Home Education”, “Helps for Home Teaching”, “Children’s Books to Read/Study with Parents” (see here).  All CFH materials seek to apply the principles of God’s word, and the available resources are referenced to relevant Scriptures to enable readers to check the conclusions for themselves. 

CFH operates under the conviction that there is no more serious responsibility in the world – it has eternal consequences – and thus considers its primary source for guidance on all matters related to family life and the care of children to be the Word of God: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  (2 Timothy 3:16,17)

Every good work includes the vital work of raising a family in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. The Bible contains all of God’s written instructions and promised blessings for families, and are the words of our loving heavenly Father and his Son, so CFH believes that those who listen obediently will hear his kind invitation to seek his richest blessings on their family: If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you … (John 15:7).
