“State Education – Making Your Views Known”: A CViE online Meet-Up (May 2022)
The influence of ideologies that are contrary to the Word of God within state education is a great concern and burden to many Christian parents. Often parents may feel themselves a lone voice in a school, yet we are encouraged to be salt and light and stand for those things that we believe. The need to speak out has been exacerbated by the proliferation of ‘celebratory’ days, weeks and months in the school calendar.
Consequently, CViE has organised a ‘Meet-Up’ to equip and help parents on how to approach their children’s school to express concerns they may have about the content of the curriculum and/or events being celebrated in the school.
The Meet-Up will include contributions from Peter Wilkins, who will share his experiences of having to deal with a school over the content of the RSE week in June 2021, and Dan Sayers, who is a head teacher, and will share his thoughts and experiences on how to approach a school and make your case.
Opportunity will be provided, after the introductory contributions, for questions and discussion.
Please feel free to pass these details on to anyone you know who may be interested in this event.
If the Lord will, the Meet-Up will be held online on Friday, 6 May 2022 8:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
