CViE appoints Business and Development Manager

As was reported in the CViE Newsletter Summer 2020, the CViE trustees had felt the need for “a pair of hands” to be employed in furthering the work of the Charity especially in the need to equip Christian parents for the increasing challenges they face in educating their children. In the Lord’s purposes, an application was made to the Providence Chapel Croydon Charity (PCCC) for funding to help with the appointment of someone to fulfil this role. We are grateful that the PCCC trustees felt able to support our application and we were able to secure two years funding for a part-time (two days per week) post.

During the autumn, we advertised for the post of CViE Business and Development Manager trusting in the Lord that He would provide someone who would coordinate, progress and promote the work of CViE. Online interviews took place during December 2020 and after prayerful consideration the trustees made the decision in January 2021 to appoint Tim Wills to the post. Tim took up his duties on Tuesday, 2 February 2021.

Tim is joining CViE from the Midlands (Shropshire) where he leads a local independent fellowship, Grace Church Wellington. He brings a background in law and pastoral ministry, as well as having been involved in education for many years, as a parent and a school governor. For the last 3 years he has worked regularly in secondary schools as a cover supervisor while supporting the home education of their youngest.  It is primarily Tim’s love for the body of Christ, the Church, that has brought him to CViE, as he hopes to be used by God to build up believers involved or interested in education.

Tim will be, over the next months, developing his understanding of CViE and taking increasing responsibility for day-to-day running of the Charity while working with the trustees and our supporters to help ensure that we continue to be of value to those we seek to serve. Tim is very keen to look at how CViE might develop ways of building on and extending access to CViE’s resources and activities so they are of use to current and future supporters.

Do pray for Tim as he takes up his new role and we do trust that the Lord will go before us as we seek His will and guidance in the work of CViE.
