Announcing: the CViE Prayer Diary
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Luke 11:10
People often ask me, ‘what is CViE?’, and I will speak of the importance of supporting children and teachers and others involved in education and facing the challenges of the secular world, If I had to sum it up, I say, I’d describe it as equipping Christians to stand fast on the word of God in education.
But there is an even BETTER way to describe CViE: as like-minded individuals united in calling on God on behalf of all involved in education. Prayer is a powerful provision of the Lord, and when Jesus teaches, And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive (Matthew 21:22), this alerts us to the potency of it.
Thus, CViE is pleased to introduce this new ‘Prayer Diary’, a resource offering a significant way to support and develop the charity. Is there a better way to equip believers? Not everyone can volunteer for CViE, and some may wish that they could contribute more financially, but prayer is the means by which every believer can support CViE in the most meaningful and impactful way.
We hope that you will consider employing this Diary in your personal, family and corporate prayer times – Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). For many Christians in education, the school setting is challenging, and the enemy given a foothold. We are seeking your prayers because it is in the purposes of God for them to be in that place, and they need to be kept by His grace – as Jesus prayed, I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. (John 17:15).
It is our hope that you would be willing to share copies, and thus allow the Prayer Diary to become a widely distributed source of support and information about the charity. The history of the Church confirms the important place of prayer in the life of the body – And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42)
