Association of Christian Teachers

Posted by request of the Association of Christian Teachers

The Association of Christian Teachers (ACT) is a Christian membership organisation that provides professional and spiritual support to Christians engaged in pre-school, primary, middle, secondary, special, college and university education in the UK, whether in a voluntary or paid capacity.

In September 2020, ACT appointed Lizzie Harewood as their Executive Officer to help promote and further the work of the Charity. Lizzie joined ACT after twelve years working in Secondary Education as an English teacher. Lizzie is keen to make ACT a real help and support to Christians involved in the nation’s schools.

ACT provides a network of regional representatives who are available to help support members who may be facing issues at school. In addition members receive a regular email update (the Examiner) and a journal in depth articles on a timely basis. A sample copy of The Journal can be found by clicking here. ACT have also published a series of ‘blog posts’ over the past year on a range of topics that are of interest to teachers and these can be found by clicking here.

Details of how to become a member of ACT can be found by clicking here or if you wish to know more about the Charity then contact them on: hello@christian-teachers.org.uk.
