The Gospel Banner
The Gospel Banner ministry was begun with a concern for the eternal state of the rising generation of young people. The ministry sets forth the old ways, to encourage young people in the ways of deep, personal religion, desiring that our land might once more know the blessing of the Lord in a way not known for generations.
In March 2020, there was a perceived need for a magazine for young men, which was begun, and called Stand Therefore. The purpose of the magazine was to encourage, help, and enable young men to stand fast in Christ. However, after a few issues were published, there was a general desire that it should be expanded to all young people, which was then done.
Twenty issues of the magazine were published, and nine meetings were held, but the editors felt that more of a Gospel focus was needed. Thus, in July 2023, Stand Therefore became The Gospel Banner to reflect this, though the work remained much the same.
The Gospel Banner proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is central to the ministry. TGB seeks to reach young people with the Gospel, in their formative years, and to urge them to remember their Creator in the days of their youth. Vitally, young believers are encouraged in the faith, with the desire to see a rising generation who will stand fast in the faith which is in Jesus Christ.
William Arrowsmith is the Director, and currently a student at Salisbury Reformed Seminary. A Christian of six years, he is a regular lay preacher. He is a church member at Bells Yew Green Chapel, in East Sussex. He is also the director of the Nature Observations magazines.
