PX Classrooms offers to parents an educational service which is both trustworthy in terms of its commitment to teaching a Christian worldview, and also reliable in terms of preparing the children to reach their full potential in the present British system of GCSEs and A-Levels.
PX Classrooms is a new collaborative venture to support Christian home educators through dynamic, interactive, and affordable online classrooms. “PX” stands for “Paideia Christou” – the training and education of Christ – traditionally rendered the nurture of the Lord in Ephesians 6:4. Every PX Classroom teacher is therefore a committed Christian and passionate about Christian education.
Every PX Classroom teacher only teaches the subject of their chosen area of expertise, holding at least one university-level degree or equivalent in that subject. The PX classroom experience is thoroughly Christian, academically rigorous, and calibrated for success in GCSE and A-Level exams.
Dr Caragh Moore, a founding director of PX Classrooms, and also herself a PX Classroom Teacher, believes that PX Classrooms offers a great opportunity for Christian parents to enhance the home education of their children and to ensure that in the subjects which really concern them, their children are given greater help in achieving their potential and the recognised qualifications they need for entering the next stage of their formation and calling.
She says,
“I was initially sceptical of the idea that online meeting technologies such as Zoom could ever replicate the buzz and excitement of a real, face-to-face classroom. But when I finally gave it a go with my students, I was very pleasantly amazed at how both teacher and students could engage and really benefit from interacting with one another online. I became determined to ensure that as many home educating children as possible could gain access to such classrooms as a way of enhancing their educational experience and encouraging both them and their parents in godly and successful learning. I wish PX Classrooms had been around when I was home educating my own six children. But at least it is now a joy to be able to help a new generation of Christian educators – including missionaries far away on the mission field – to take full advantage of new technologies and to work together in nurturing our children for Christ.”

PX Classrooms is now accepting children of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds from all around the world for courses from Key Stage 3 through to A-Levels. The economies of scale of a classroom environment mean that, without sacrificing the ability for the student to interact with the teacher and receive personal help and attention, the cost of each lesson can be as low as £5.00 a lesson, including the marking of homework.
