Transgender: YouTube Censorship & A High Court Victory
A quick update on a couple of things concerning transgender – some good news and some bad.
A few weeks ago we highlighted the launch of a new DVD The Transgender Agenda produced by Truth in Science and distributed widely to schools (over 29000), MPs and Lords. We were saddened to see the news that YouTube has blocked the trailer of this DVD. The trailer was blocked following complaints. YouTube stated that “it violates our hate speech policy”. Christian Concern have been working with TiS on this DVD and further details of YouTube’s actions are available on the Christian Concern website.

CViE Comment: This action from YouTube isn’t surprising, but is worrying. The vast majority of Christian organisations use the internet as the predominant means of communicating – websites, social media, video hosting etc. CViE is no different. There have even been cases recently of Christian organisations having their bank accounts terminated. How much we need to pray to the Lord to preserve our freedoms to us in this increasingly hostile world. We shouldn’t take anything for granted.
Some much better news is the recent ruling in the High Court in London regarding the giving puberty blockers to children. From Christian Concern:
In a landmark ruling, the High Court in London ruled on Tuesday (1 December) that children under 16 cannot consent to puberty-blocking drugs. It also recognised that clinicians may only want to refer 16 and 17-year olds for gender ‘treatment’ with the prior authorisation of the courts. The basis of this ruling was that judges determined that children must understand the nature of the treatment and its long-term effects first.
