Christian teaching on marriage … absolutely vital in the face of sexualisation of children

Julie Maxwell, Lovewise Deputy Director, has published an article on the Lovewise website exposing how harmful teaching on sex aimed at children has made plain that “clear Christian teaching on marriage [is] needed more than ever”.

The article discusses many of the RSE elements that are objectionable to Christians – the negatives – but it also helpfully points out the space that is created for Christians to emphasize the positive principles of Christian teaching. The article is a call to the Church to not be merely defensive but to proactively proclaim the uplifting truths of God’s commands.

Lovewise offers resources on the subjects of relationships, marriage, sex and wise living for young people that encourage them to consider the God-given design of marriage and the wisdom and benefits of keeping sex for marriage.
